I wrote drafts the last few weeks but never got around to touching them up and left them behind. Like this post, it was all ramblings of little things and goings-on.
Where Is My Mind At?
Okay, so lately it's been tough to stay motivated. Yet this week I've been pushing through it. Getting on top of things at work and trying to stay where I need to be.
The August 25th run-off election for Democrats is approaching. I liked following other states' primaries. Going to test out my Connect 10 program for this.
My goal is to exit local leadership, which is just me. It stings and feels tough to admit, but I'm doing no favors. We are moving, and I can't relate well with others, so it's best to end it.
Going forward, I will work as a friend and neighbor to try to boost turnout. May try out issue-based items. Also have interest in doing rural events and maybe Episcopal items. End things on a positive note and just write off me being useful for much of anything. My hope is to get to have conversations with shared interests. The wonk stuff with my boring tone is not a hot in-demand commodity. Not sure exactly why I'm disliked, but it is what it is. It's a common theme across most things in life. I just cannot seem to communicate or work well with others. Stuck to my fate and am somewhat resigned to it.
I wonder if there will be improvements in the future. There are connections that I make and do well for a while, yet they always end.
This Week
- See if Linda w/ HD 56 takes my offer to volunteer. I have a bad track record.
- Get a graphic for Saturday pickup of Democrats Care Food drive. Hoping to switch meetups to that.
- Check with campaigns on picking up any yard signs or other candidate campaign material.
- Draft some ideas for rural issues to work on material.
- Research Oklahoma laws on where groups can set up.
- Check out ideas for Prayer Walks and how to film, edit, and present it.
Wrap up
Think I have it all out of my head. The chance of this being read is small but again it helps. I suppose Peter Thiel is have government goons recording the web to build a blackmail profile of me but sometimes I get lucky and who knows that small file gets corrupted or deleted on a mistake.
