Thoughts
I fell behind this week due to a bit of brain fog—just so had trouble staying on task. Thanks to summer hours, though, I got some extra time off and managed to finish a couple of books.
We’re close to finishing DS9, and while I’m glad to finally be watching it, I’ll be sad when it’s over. It’s become one of my favorite Star Trek series. We still have Voyager to watch, but I’m also curious about Babylon 5. Found some DS9 Book reading list, so we might see that on the list too.
I really need to get back on track with finishing things. I have a business idea brewing and some online courses to complete. I’d also like to finish my degree, maybe in computer science or cybersecurity—it could be my next step after this job.
Lately, I’ve been cutting back on Discord and am somewhat interested in trying out IRC. I tested Matrix and set up a server but didn’t get too into it. I also want to use Mastodon and Lemmy more, shifting toward federated, decentralized social media.
On the open-source front, I should probably self-host or replace my reliance on Tailscale and Cloudflare. I need to prioritize privacy and digital rights over convenience.
Adub signing off. Happy reading!
