What’s brewing this month? Updates on website tweaks, project brainstorming, and how our unpredictable SW Oklahoma weather fits into it all.
April is here, and with it, a mix of excitement and the usual unpredictable Southwest Oklahoma weather. One day it’s sunny and 80, the next it’s stormy and 40. Keeps things interesting!
On the digital front, I’m continuing to refine this very website. The goal is to make it as lean and efficient as possible, fitting perfectly on older hardware like my original Raspberry Pi. This month, I’m focusing on:
- Improving the build process to make it even faster.
- Adding more categories or tags to thoughts for better navigation.
- Brainstorming ideas for a small “now playing” widget for music.
Project-wise, the Raspberry Pi home server is still chugging along. I’ve been looking into setting up a basic file server and a simple photo gallery. The challenge is balancing functionality with the limited resources of a Pi 1.
I’m also exploring some new shell scripting tricks to automate more of my daily tasks. Bash is a powerful tool, and there’s always something new to learn.
