My Digital Workshop

Finally

Finally

Got this website running on my very first Raspberry Pi which is the original Raspberry Pi 1.

After many attempts and experiments, I’ve finally managed to get this website hosted on my original Raspberry Pi 1. It’s truly amazing what this little board can still do, even after all these years.

The process involved setting up a lightweight web server (Nginx, of course!), configuring SSH for remote access, and fine-tuning the Bash script to generate the static files efficiently. The low power consumption of the Pi makes it an ideal candidate for always-on projects like a personal website.

This setup embodies the “smol web” philosophy: minimal resources, maximum control. It’s a satisfying feeling to know that my little corner of the internet is powered by a device that cost less than a fancy dinner.

Next steps include optimizing the CSS and adding more content. The journey continues!
